Advocacy

Advocacy at RHA

Picture
RHA’s goal is to increase advocacy between residents and foster an inclusive environment for everyone within our residence halls and out on campus. We aspire to be residents’ direct link to advocate for their needs guarding inclusiveness within our halls and being equitable to all marginalized groups. The VP of DEI&A (diversity, equity, inclusion, & advocacy) Initiatives will work to give residents a voice regarding issues they may face within our community. RHA will take on an informative and resourceful role while working to increase residents’ comfort within the campus and community alike.
We aim to use our platform to amplify the voices of residents by empowering them to stand up and demand change. RHA is here to help residents, ensuring that you have access to necessary accommodations and the support you need to thrive at Ohio University. We will do our best to give you the opportunity to have your voice heard. While RHA works closely with Housing to ensure you have the best possible living experience, please keep in mind that we are not the Housing department themselves. Any issues regarding roommate changes, maintenance requests, or similar matters are best handled by your assigned resident assistant or resident director.

If you would like to schedule a meeting with our VP of DEI, who's contact can be found in our Contact Us tab, or join RHA’s weekly meetings occurring every Monday at 7-8pm in the LLC, room 102/104.
