Devin Lands Office Hours: by appointment Pronouns: He/him/hims About Me: Hello! My name is Devin Lands, and I’m honored to be serving my third year as President of the Residence Hall Association (RHA). I’m deeply passionate about both the programming and advocacy aspects of our work. In a time of change and uncertainty in higher education, I remain committed to being a voice for all residential students and helping connect them to the resources they need to feel at home. This year, our Executive Board and I are focused on implementing a more robust and inclusive slate of programs for our residential communities. We’re also prioritizing stronger connections with our Hall Councils by promoting transparency and offering increased leadership development opportunities. In addition to my RHA role, I serve as the Senior Resident Advisor (SRA) for the Washington/Read Complex. I’m currently in my fourth year pursuing a degree in Biological Science through the Honors Tutorial College, with plans to attend medical school and eventually become an Otolaryngologist (ENT). I am a third year majoring in Media/Communication Studies through the Honors Tutorial College, with minors in Film Studies and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies!! I am also a Resident Advisor here on campus. I loveee to read so i’m always taking book recommendations, and I also love to mountain bike and hike/backpack! I’m so happy to be serving as Senior Vice President of RHA, this will be my third year as an executive member, but first year in this role. I am currently double majoring in Business MIS and Analytics. In my free time, I love to walk around campus with my friends and sit outside. Apart from my studies and RHA, I am the SRA for Wilson. Rita Janssens Office Hours: by appointment Pronouns: She/her/hers About Me: Hi there! My name is Rita Janssens!! I'm a Third-Year Social work major working on also getting minors in Psychology and Sociology. This is also my third year as the VP of Programming for RHA!!!! Currently, I am an RA for Crawford/Mackinnon Complex and work for Event Services here on campus!! I aspire to work with those who need an advocate and help them overcome those challenges and help them succeed. Julia Poppe Office Hours: by appointment Pronouns: She/her/hers About Me: Hi! I'm Julia Poppe, and I am a second-year Integrated Science Education major. Also, I am part of the Ohio Honors Program, and I serve as an OHP Ambassador for the Patton College of Education. I am so excited to be joining RHA's executive board as VP of Marketing & PR! I am very passionate about advocacy and working to include as many voices to the conversation as possible. In my free time, I enjoy doing theatre, singing, volunteering, and hanging out with my friends on and around campus! I am from Anna, OH, and I have two little sisters and a dog, Lenny! Sammy Hite Office Hours: by appointment Pronouns: She/her/hers About me: Hey, my name is Sammy and this is my first year in RHA. Being the VP of student services is mainly dealing with rentals and sending out the RHAport card to you all! I have a lot of ideas for the 26-27 school year and how to help make RHA the best it can be. Enough about the serious stuff and more about me. My major is Psychology witu a Social Work and Studio Art minor. I have found quite an interest in ceramics and have even won some awards for some of my pieces. Music is also one of my passions and I have been involved with it for over 10 years! I have performed at donkey and I plan to do it again… so keep an eye out. Fun Fact: I have performed at Donkey! Margot King Office Hours: By appointment Pronouns: She/her/hers About Me: Hello!! My name is Margot King and I'm a sophomore studying chemistry on the pre-med track. This year will be my first year as an RA and I'm more than excited to support OU residents through HRL. In my free time, I love to watch movies, play music, crochet, read, and hang out with my loved ones. I love anything science related and I love to make fun little crafts. As the VP of DEI and Advocacy for RHA, I'd love to explore different ways to increase advocacy among OU's residents. I want to increase accessibility to advocacy-related resources as well as establish RHA as a hub for all residents. In addition to that, I hope to hold many educational and spotlight events to highlight the great organizations on campus. By doing this, I want to help all of OU's residents feel at home. I've been a part of RHA for one year, and this will be my second and my first year as an executive member. This year I will do my best to fulfill all of these goals. Megan Luckiw Office Hours: by appointment Pronouns: She/Her/Hers About Me: Hello! My name is Megan and I am the National Communicators Coordinator (NCC) for RHA! I am a third year student majoring in English Literature, Culture, and Writing. I am SRA of the Shively/Tiffin complex and also serve as a Housing Ambassador! In my free time, I enjoy drawing, walking, and playing cards with friends. I’ve been a part of RHA for three years, initially as a Hall Council representative, and then assumed the role of NCC. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my years with RHA and my favorite part of being NCC is being able to write about the amazing things this organization does! My role is primarily assisting the Vice President of Programming with the logistics of planning out housing events and programs for OU. Jim Sand Office Hours: By appointment Pronouns: He/Him/His About Me: Hello! My name is Jim Sand. I have worked in student affairs for over thirty-seven years. While I worked in student conduct for two years, the rest has been in residence life. I am a strong advocate for student leadership and played a role in the establishment of the Residents’ Action Council (tRAC), Residence Hall Association (RHA) and National Residence Hall Honoray (NRHH) chapter, at Ohio University. I have served as an advisor to RHA at various times over the years and was recognized as the 2012 CAACURH Advisor of the Year and, most recently, as the 2026 NACURH Hallenbeck Lifetime Service award winner. I am the Resident Director for Shively-Tiffin Complex and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology in 2022 and my M.ED. in College Student Personnel in 2025, both from Ohio University! This is my first year advising RHA, but my 6th year in a Hall Council! I am currently the Resident Director of Ryors Hall (with the First Gen ELO) and I am (proudly) from West Virginia!
